Developed in 2008, The Custer Music Project brings together music and stargazing at Custer Observatory, blending the performing arts with science and discovery.

We aim to create a unique, immersive experience where live music and astronomy intersect, fostering a deeper appreciation for both.

If you or your band would like to perform at The Custer Music Project, please email us.

Each performance showcases a diverse repertoire curated to inspire and educate.

Following the music, audiences are invited to explore the cosmos. Guided by our expert staff, they can peer through the telescopes in our historic observation dome and at various stations across the observatory grounds.

Through this fusion of art and science, tMP aims to enrich the community with high-quality performances while sparking curiosity about the universe.
